The CrewHQ Story

In Kirsty's own words..

"CrewHQ was born out of my own frustrations as a producer looking for crew on the second series of First Day.
We were shooting at a time where there were multiple other productions taking place in SA, and finding it difficult to fill several key roles when our regular crew were working on other productions.

The thought "Surely there's an app for this!" definitely came to mind, but there wasn't much time to dwell on it whilst producing the series (with my 8 month old son in tow!).

Fast-forward 12 months, and having had conversations with dozens of crew and producers about their frustrations with the hiring process, I decided to research what apps did exist.

I quickly realised that there was nothing out there with an Australian film and television focus, that put crew at the front and centre.

It was incredibly important to me from the start that CrewHQ would be a collaborative platform, built by the Australian film and television industry, for the industry.
It's been designed after hundreds of conversations with producers, screen businesses and crew around the country, and I welcome your feedback to make it even better.

We envision CrewHQ as a game-changer for the industry, providing crew with access to work they love, and providing support and resources throughout their freelance careers.

Over the coming months and years, our dream is to impact the career of every film, TV and production freelancer in the country, and for CrewHQ to be used to hire crew for every Australian production, from indie films and major TV series, through to short films, music videos and TV commercials.
We have a 2 year roadmap for additional features, including some involving major partnerships that will revolutionise the industry.
